THE PROCESS
From centering to glazing
A taster introduces the complete rhythm of wheel throwing, while a longer course gives you time to repeat and refine each stage.
- Centering and preparing the clay
- Opening the form and pulling the walls
- Shaping bowls, cups and simple vessels
- Trimming leather-hard work
- Decorating, glazing and preparing for the kiln
AFTER YOUR SESSION
Your pottery continues after class
I trim, glaze and fire your finished pieces after the session. Pottery is usually ready for collection in approximately four weeks, once it has completed the studio's drying, bisque and final firing stages.
