Pottery for 2 gives you time away from busy schedules and screens to focus on making something with your hands. You will learn the foundations of wheel throwing together, with Anat close by to demonstrate, answer questions and help you find your rhythm.
The studio is intimate and personal rather than a large commercial workshop. There are no crowds or hen parties, just a quiet garden studio where you can laugh at the wobbly first attempts, celebrate the good ones and enjoy the process.
This pottery date night in West London is a short walk from South Ealing Station on the Piccadilly Line. Choose wheel throwing or handbuilding, depending on the kind of creative experience you would like to share.

Watch a clear demonstration, then practise centering, opening and shaping with guidance for both of you.
Make your pieces
Create two or three pieces each, choosing simple forms such as bowls or cups to make your own.
Leave the finishing to Anat
Your work is trimmed, glazed and kiln-fired after the session, ready to collect in approximately four weeks.

Questions before you book
Do we need pottery experience?
No. Pottery for 2 is designed for complete beginners as well as people who have tried pottery before. Anat demonstrates each step and guides you both throughout the session.
What happens during the session?
You will settle into the studio, learn the basics of wheel throwing, practise with hands-on guidance and make two or three pieces each. Anat then trims, glazes and fires your work.
